Tennis in the Land powered by Rocket is excited to introduce the inaugural Mixed Doubles Showdown! Amateurs now have the opportunity to compete downtown at the home of Tennis in the Land powered by Rocket.

Tennis in the Land powered by Rocket Mixed Doubles Showdown Rules
- 4 different clubs will host a Mixed Doubles tournament in the first ever Tennis in the Land Mixed Doubles Showdown. The winner of each tournament will advance to the semifinals to be played on site at Tennis in the Land*.
- Registration is $70/player. All proceeds benefit Changeover, Changeover is a 501c3 non-profit that is committed to community betterment within Cleveland through the transformation and enrichment of tennis courts. Our mission is to revitalize these spaces, fostering a sense of community, recreation, and wellness for all.
- All registrations come with 1 general admission ticket to Tennis in the Land for a pre-determined session.
- Teams: 8 teams per location will be selected. First come, first served for 7 teams (timing based on when both players are registered). TITL will have final discretion on player field. One wildcard per location can be applied at the discretion of TITL. If the wildcard is not used, the 8th team to register will be accepted.
- Players can only be selected for one of the four events, unless there is availability in the draw. Players can sign up for multiple events but will only be accepted chronologically (if a player signs up for 2 events, they will be accepted into the first one they would be accepted into).
- Players will only pay for their entry fee if they are accepted into the field. No refunds are permitted after acceptance. Only players accepted into the field will receive a TITL ticket (alternates will not).
- Each team must not have a combined rating higher than 7.0, and cannot exceed a 1 point NTRP difference. Players 4.5 & higher and 2.5 & lower are not eligible.
- Players must have a confirmed or an appealed rating. Self-rated players are not eligible. Players must live in the USTA NEO District.
- Format: 8 teams per location, compass draw. Each team is guaranteed 3 pro-sets to 8. The scoring is regular scoring, with a 12 pt tiebreak at 7-all.
- Semifinals: The semifinals will take place on Friday, August 22 in the afternoon (players must be available beginning at 1pm). 2 out of 3 sets, with a 10 pt tiebreaker in lieu of a third set. All semi-finalists will receive 2 General Admission tickets for the tennis that day. *
- Finals: The finals will take place on Saturday, August 23 (players must be available beginning at 9am). 2 out of 3 sets, with a 10 pt tiebreaker. All finalists will receive 2 General Admission tickets for the tennis that day, plus recognition during a changeover during the doubles final. *
- If a team is not able to compete in the semifinals, an alternate team will be selected from the preliminary site in order of finish.
- USTA Rules apply; However, as an unsanctioned event, TITL reserves the right for final say on all decisions.
